Yielding on the New Moon in Libra

Posted on

The New Moon in Libra on Saturday (2:26pm EDT at 5°20′) presents us with an opportunity to witness and integrate the differences and polarities we face in everyday life, especially with others. Integrating these polarities involves more work than witnessing them, but the latter is the catalyst to the former. When we recognize them, we can begin to process and understand how they intertwine with our lives, and then yield to it all in order to manifest our intentions together.

The power of Sun and Moon together in Libra allows us to see all sides of situations and reconcile them in the name of spirit and unification. Libra is ruled by Venus, who is so beautifully transiting her own sign of Libra right now, as is Mercury, further enriching the potency of these unifying principles. It is a time when our capacity to do this is strongest. Look around yourself and notice things, people, or ideologies that you may not like. Though many of these may be very difficult to reconcile, the purpose of the practice of doing so is akin to the Tao, “When two great forces oppose each other, the victory will go to the one that knows how to yield.” Libra’s highest vibration is yielding to others. It is bringing into balance and harmony the opposing forces surrounding us and within us. In doing so, we see that all polarities are merely two sides of the same coin. And choosing one over the other only creates perpetual imbalance and the inability to awaken to the oneness we all embody.

How we relate to one another is rooted in Libra for this reason. It is about learning how to reconcile the differences between us all, not just our nearest and dearest. Once you see the differences between yourself and everything around you, find acceptance in your heart that those differences are important. They are teachers teaching us to open up and accept diversity. Ultimately, there is love is everyone’s heart, even the most despicable person you can think of. That love becomes clouded by ignorance and conditioning that many people cannot find their way through. It is a dense fog that persists in their hearts, suppressed by fear and insecurity. Cultivate compassion by understanding this.

Libra season is a beautiful time. Autumn in the North, Spring in the South. The great balancing of light and dark. Open up your heart and mind in order to witness, integrate, and yield. We are all working out so much in our lives. Be easy on yourself and those around you. Be at peace.

Full Moon in Pisces, etc.

Posted on

• Venus and Mercury conjunct at 28° Virgo this morning at 11:08am EDT
• Full Moon at 21° Pisces late tonight (early tomorrow) at 12:34am EDT
• Mars at 17° Virgo and Neptune at 17° Pisces (opposition) at 1:20am EDT (both T-squaring Jupiter at 16° Sagittarius)

It is always good to feel into your life sometimes instead of always trying to figure it out and get it all perfect. Full Moons are when things are most exposed, and when it is in Pisces it exposes our vulnerabilities, the things we neglect, and things that are out of our control, but it also emanates an etheric swathe of divine serenity. A feeling that everything is going to be okay. This is always a nice feeling, of course, but the rub is that the full Moon opposes Sun in Virgo, where it is cavorting with its usual compadres, Mercury and Venus (and presently Mars). Virgo is the ultimate focal point of grounded consciousness. It brings that celestial serenity down through our root and gravitates us to the Earth’s core. This axis of the zodiac is the most paradoxical of all axes. Applying it to everyday life, however, it can best be conveyed as doing and not-doing. This paradox is repeatedly mentioned in Taoism. “Practice not-doing and everything will fall into place.”

This cluster of inner planets and Sun in Virgo opposing Moon and Neptune in Pisces is asking us to recognize this dichotomy in our lives. The dilemma between doing and not-doing. So much can be drawn from the tapestry of merely existing that it often feels as though nothing else needs to be accomplished. God already accomplished everything for us. But Virgo demands that we take that stellar awakening and understanding and apply it to everything we do, because we of course have to DO. What are we doing? How are we doing it?

Mercury and Venus at 28° Virgo brings such a culminating sense of achievement to our work and our relationships in life. Although this transit is already separating, the residual effects are hopefully beautiful for you. We are beginning to graduate into the realm of Libra tonight, with Mercury crossing into the Venusian sign at 3:15am EDT. Our personal needs and reflections upon the management of our lives is shifting into the needs of others and how we can work together to better achieve collective serenity.

But Mars opposes Neptune! That devilish Mars can throw wrenches into plans and do things we don’t expect or want. Things that, during transits like this especially, can be completely out of our control. Like our feelings about doing and not-doing. Agitation, anxiety, stress, fear. They can take us for rides we never would ask to go on. But Neptune in Pisces asks us to have faith that the struggles and trauma and setbacks are stepping stones to a richer and more fulfilling destiny. They’re obstacles we must overcome to reach the divine serenity emanating from the orb we call Neptune. This transit, especially with Jupiter in its own sign of Sagittarius squaring them, brings tremendous growth of consciousness, even if it comes disguised as trouble or strife. See what you can find in any struggles you encounter that may be silver linings leading you to greater greatness. YOU instead of you. Blessings.

Moon’s Occultations

Posted on

After Moon’s transit and occultation of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn these past few days brought us another recognition of the structures that may be falling apart in our lives, today’s Aquarius Moon allows us to recognize how to upgrade and rebuild those structures to be more useful and helpful for the community and our friendships. Listen carefully to your higher consciousness today and tomorrow; that little voice in your head that usually seems to be right about everything despite how often you resist obeying it. Release the shadows from the heart by opening the gates of the Sun in Gemini to shine in, to heal, to protect, and to instill much needed tranquility and FUN again.

Moon Conjunct Uranus in Taurus

Posted on

Hypergenese de la Reapparition, by Victor Brauner

As I write this, the Moon is fresh into the sign of Taurus and exactly conjunct Uranus at 1°. Uranus is in the process of retrograding back into Aries until Early January, when it will station direct and make its final push into Taurus for the next seven years.

There is much talk of Uranus’ ingress into Taurus having an inevitable effect upon the global economy, as well as our own personal economies. Related to that is the fact that Uranus will also have an effect upon how we feel about ourselves in general. Taurus represents that which makes us feel like we have the supplies and resources to survive, which of course means our money and our material belongings. But that also boils down to our self-esteem and self-worth, because without either of those we struggle immensely to survive and fend for ourselves. So, this brings us to Uranus and the Moon…

Although Uranus is the closest of the outer planets, it still takes seven years for it to move through one zodiac sign. This means it has its way with all of us at a relatively glacial pace. It imbues shades of progress, raising the bar, scientific advancement, higher consciousness, and idealism, yet it also can spell shocking disruptions, electrifying spontaneity (yes, literally), elitist mentalities, and unhealthy detachments. In the sign of Taurus, Uranus is going to shake up these tendencies in all of us. It will let us know, perhaps shockingly so, if we are feeling good about ourselves for the wrong reasons (do we feel better than others because of our social status or wealth, do we avoid situations because we don’t want to appear dirty or lower than our peers?). But positively, Uranus will beckon us to upgrade our self-esteem, advance our perspective on the world through awakening to a higher consciousness, allow us to reevaluate how we approach our worth through lessons in humility (crumbling elitist mentalities), and ultimately bring us all into a higher awareness of the value of our resources as a collective. What is this bright blue ball spinning free worth to us? How can we ideally advance humanity to respect collective resources? How do we regulate the global economy while minimizing corruption? Will cryptocurrencies evolve more into the mainstream in order to counter the rampant fraud associated with our current state of affairs? Will there be a new method of exchange? We shall see.

Moon was just full in Aries on Monday night. This was a powerful full Moon because it occurred at 1° Aries, which is pretty much the absolute beginning of the zodiac. Talk about a brand new cycle for us all! It shined upon us telling us to begin anew, stand up and fight, and TAKE ACTION! Now that she is in Taurus, especially conjunct Uranus, we are being called to recognize our resources, recognize what they mean to us, and truly understand how they can provide for our family, our home, our security, and our progress moving forward. This beautiful deity is shining beams of ideas down upon us, asking us to listen quietly so we can hear how we can feel strong, confident, and capable of sustaining ourselves, while at the same time channeling the higher ideals and awakening creative visions of our futures. It can be bring artists flashes of immense personal inspiration, helping align our emotional processes in rapid downloads of creative enlightenment.

Remember, Moon travels through each sign for only 2.5 days, so don’t miss this opportunity to find quietude so you can listen to the Moonbeams charged with the frequencies of Uranus channeling the outer depths of Taurus.

We can all identify with an innate desire to raise the bar on our self-esteem, how we value ourselves, and how we sustain our own lifestyles. We need to recognize how to approach these desires with a higher consciousness so that we are not seeking them for mundane base purposes, but instead to build a sustainable future for ourselves and those we love. Taurus appreciates everything that is truly built to last.

Moon in Taurus

Garden of Earthly Delights, Triptych by Hieronymus Bosch, oil on panels, 1490-1510 (click for center panel detail)

Life needs to be just the way you like it. Food, surroundings, music, people, you name it. If it stimulates your senses in a comforting way, there’s little holding you back from indulgence. Build your nest, settle in to your pleasures, and indulge! Go ahead! You have worked hard to sustain your needs in these areas, now it is time to enjoy them. But nobody better tell you it has to change! Oh no, that’s not happening! Nothing is changing. The couch, the snacks, the safe haven, the music that’s playing, the art on your walls. They stay right where they are! Be mindful that your indulgences don’t take you down the wrong path, though. These can get to extremes, especially with Moon in Taurus in the 9th or 12th house or aspected to Jupiter or Neptune. These bring excess and loss of control respectively.

You likely have a keen ear for fine music, or are an accomplished or aspiring musician. Maybe you have a desire to cook, build things, play with clay or dirt. There is tremendous creativity in the reserves of the Taurian Bull! It is very possible that these are means to tapping into and processing your emotions. If you’re unaware of any desires such as these, perhaps it is time to consider one of them. For it is the creative force that brings us closer to ourselves and to Great Spirit.

Do you own land? Does your family? Your mother’s family? Did you grow up on a farm? Are you a realtor? You have a tendency to believe land is a sacred investment, a resource of tremendous value. And not just land, everything you own is very important, and how you got to where you are. Your self-sufficiency and self-reliance is a trait you know all about. You’re doing life your way to get what you desire. And you’re probably pretty good at it.

You have a sensitivity, however, that is not so cavalier as “doing life your way to get what you desire.” You’re possibly the most sensual person you know. You seek to intimately touch your partner, not just dive right in. There is so much emphasis on the subtlety of affection that any advances made trying to skip over them is lost on you. You lose interest quickly. Taking the time to brush your fingers across their skin from their head to their toes is where it’s at! This isn’t to say that you even NEED someone else to do this, though. You don’t. You know all about how to take care of yourself, and not just financially or gastronomically. Yes, you’re very self-sufficient in your sensuality, too. Don’t be ashamed. Pleasure can be experienced alone.

Delicious, warm, cozy, sensual, material, fixed, stable, self-reliant, and absolutely desirous of all things related to these. Just remember to share your thirst for affection and stimulation of your senses with all those you encounter. And share your belongings, your material wealth, your refined taste for the good things in life. Give back to others in need, be the empowering caregiver you’re so adept at being. Just be careful you don’t spend every penny on that 1961 Bordeaux, or that brand new Range Rover, or the fanciest house in town. Frugality is a virtue for those who overindulge.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius

Posted on

By Mike Dubois

Today’s New Moon in Aquarius is widely conjunct the South Node of the Moon in Aquarius, which means it is partially in alignment with Earth and Sun, which means a partial Solar Eclipse. That’s right, it’s eclipse season, which means openings, or portals, into change and growth are upon us. New Moons are harbingers of new beginnings, new intentions being set, recognition that changes to our lives need to be made. Where is this happening for you?

There are electric, high-consciousness charges beaming in and stirring up our cauldron with inspirational ideas and visions of a better future. A better future for ourselves and our community. How would you like to improve the circle of like-minded friends and community members you relate to and appreciate in your life? What organizations would you like to help? Can you afford to donate your services, ideas, or finances to a good cause to better society or your local community?

With so much darkness around us, it is high time the deep blue rays of divine vision pouring forth from the vessel of Aquarius flow through us like a raging stream of sustained awakening. This New Moon eclipses Sun and begs we look back into our roots, our seeds, our previous beginnings to witness what has previously enlightened us in our past. Do we need to humble ourselves before the Great Mystery? Are our ideals for show or are they for progress? Will our legacy be valued by our children’s children? How many generations are your actions and accomplishments affecting?

Nurture inclusion toward progress within your tribe. It has been unlocked. Go forth through the portal of Electric Truth and lead those who seek direction, follow those who honor the sacred Mysteries, and recognize all the beauty of the petals on the flowers growing in the garden of your mind.

Mercury is swimming just beside Sun and Moon today, so be sure that whatever intentions you set forth, you do so in writing or in spoken word. It is good to at least perform this ritual in the mind, but there is immense power in our words. Communicate to your people, your loved ones, your friends. Listen to those who communicate to you. Honor your higher self and involve it deeply in your community. Our tribes and paradigm need to work together locally and share both hearts and minds with one another in order to find social freedom.
