Country roads from Portland, Maine to Saratoga Springs, New York – June 8-12. Route 4 west may have been a favorite, along with the town of Woodstock, Vermont. Quechee State Park Campground, outside White River Junction, Vermont, was a great quiet overnight resting spot. Started the next day with a beautiful gorge hike in Quechee Gorge, then a picnic lunch and fresh strawberries fueled the rest of the journey into a late afternoon arrival in Saratoga Springs. The town is an excellent destination with a bustling downtown and breathtaking parks, of which offer expansive trails, sprawling greens to walk, bike, or throw a blanket in the grass, and numerous sulfuric mineral springs bubbling or spouting everywhere. Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is debatably one of the greatest outdoor music venues ever. It could have something to do with how cool the town is and how seemingly laid-back people are, but its location in Saratoga Spa State Park is the best part. Favorite part of the journey is always meeting Roving Souls throughout the land. Blessings to you and everyone along the way. Enjoy the photos!
